Voter Registration Qualifications are:
- 17 ½ years of age to register, 18 years of age to vote
- US Citizen
- Missouri Resident
To Register
Submit your Voter Registration
Application online with the Missouri Secretary of State's Office.

Visit the Library and complete a voter registration application. The library will
mail the completed form to the county clerk.

Fill out and print the Missouri
Voter Registration Application. Mail the completed application to the county clerk.
This does not complete the registration process. The county clerk will send further instructions to
your home address.

Register in person at the Office of the County Clerk, 100 N. Main Street, Room 202, Poplar Bluff,
MO. Contact the County Clerk by phone at (573) 686-8050.
Election Calendar and Deadlines
New voters (those who have never registered in Butler County) must apply by the fourth Wednesday
prior to an election.
Registered voters who have legally changed their name may vote once more under their old name
(provided their address is the same) and complete a new voter registration card at that
time.

Poll Hours and ID Requirements
Polling places are open from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm on election day. If you are in line at the closing
time of 7:00 PM you have the right to cast your vote.
Effective June 1, 2017, the following
forms of identification are acceptable for voting purposes in Missouri:
- Nonexpired Missouri driver license;
- Nonexpired or nonexpiring Missouri non-driver license;
- Nonexpired document which contains the voter's name and photograph and is issued by the United
States or the state of Missouri;
- Nonexpired or nonexpiring military ID card which contains a photograph
