The Internal Revenue Service has announced that the nation’s 2020 tax season will start for individual tax return filers on Friday, Feb. 12, 2021.

The filing deadline to submit 2020 tax returns is Thursday, April 15, 2021. Read the entire IRS announcement here.

What do you need to get started?
✔ Social security number or ITIN
✔ Your filing status
✔ Your exact refund amount

For Missouri state, information will be available up to 5 business days after filing electronically or up to 3 - 4 weeks after mailing your paper return.

For United States federal, information will be available as soon as 24 hours after e-filing. Expect extended delays if you mailed your return or responded to an IRS Notice. Information for Where's My Refund is updated daily, usually overnight.

2. Print Tax Forms at the Library

If you know which tax form you need, a library staff member can help you print it for 20 cents per page.
