The Library Conference Room was established as part of the library renovation and expansion, which was funded by the Kay Porter $1 million gift. A federal grant by the Institute of Museum and Library Services added technology and equipment. |
Small businesses and organizations will enjoy the technology and space provided by the Library Conference Room. Recent renovations have allowed the Library to restore the 1936 wood moldings and paint colors original to the room. The conference room provides a computer lab for 10 people or a meeting room which seats 16 individuals. Priority is given to business, organizations, and individuals who desire to use the room’s technology. The Library Board policy does not allow any person or group to sell a product or use the room to solicit business.
SMART BOARD
Recent technology grant awards have furnished the conference room with Smart Board Technology. Library staff are trained to assist any novice in the basics of using this large interactive computer screen to display computer and Internet generated files. The five foot wide screen is interactive and provides software to record screen written notes or changes to a document during a presentation or training.
COMPUTER PROJECTOR
Wall mounted connections provide easy access to the ceiling mounted projector.
