The Library Conference Room was established as part of the library renovation and expansion, which was funded by the Kay Porter $1 million gift. A federal grant by the Institute of Museum and Library Services added technology and equipment.

Small business, professionals, government groups, exhibitors, and organizations will enjoy the technology and space provided by the Library meeting spaces, including the Library Conference Room, Library Theater, and Sensory Garden. Indoor spaces are a part of the original 1936 structure which include the original wood molding and paint colors of the Library. The Sensory Garden, a gift from the Poplar Bluff chapter of Rotary International is tranquil and inviting with benches, fountain, seasonal plantings, and magnolias growing since the 1930’s.

Use of space is only by advance reservation and completion of the room request form and signing the user agreement. This form must be co-signed by the director or assistant director. It is assumed that users have read the Meeting Spaces Policy and agree to all stipulations included in the policy.
