Tuesdays & Saturdays | Full Schedule | Library Conference Room

Improve your career when you gain and expand your professional and personal computer skills with these free classes now available in the library's recently upgraded Computer Lab. The Computer Lab is equipped with touchscreen Windows 10 laptops and Microsoft Office 2013 software. All classes are free and open to the public, and drop-ins are welcome. If you are looking for something more specific to your needs, check out our Book-a-Techie program on Thursdays.

Youth Fishing Classes
Free hands on instructions | Ages 7 - 15 with responsible adult

Fishing is a great way for everyone to have fun outdoors, learn about conservation, and make happy memories together. The Missouri Department of Conservation's Youth Fishing Classes help young Missourians gain the skills and confidence to go fishing on their own. Classes are broken up into four separate parts. Children must participate in all four classes to qualify for the $25 Bass Pro Shop Gift Card.

Outsmart the Scammers!

Incidents of fraud are on the rise and scammers’ tactics are becoming more complex. That’s why it’s important to educate yourself about fraud. And while no one is immune there are steps you can take to Outsmart the Scammers.

Join us for this presentation and learn important strategies to help protect you and ones you love. We’ll share:

  • How to spot certain red flags that may indicate a fraudulent encounter
  • Resources you can turn to in the event you or a loved one are targeted
  • Steps you can take now to help protect yourself and your loved ones

A representative from the Edward Jones, Michael C. Wiseman, will be available to answer questions.

Knit & Crochet Club
Needle Novices and Masters Converge

Tuesday, July 25th | 4 pm - 6 pm | Library Theater


Learn basic knitting and crocheting while you make your first project, brush up on techniques, or just stitch with good company. Please bring your own tools and materials. Drop-ins Welcome, Registration Preferred.

Free One-on-One Tech Assistance

Book-A-Techie is an opportunity to receive free
one-on-one assistance on a variety of devices, apps, smartphones, computers and other technology.*

You can schedule a 45 minute session with one of our Library Techies by calling 573-686-8639.

Advance reservation is required and appointments are subject to availability. Space limited to five slots. Maximum of one slot per patron per week.
